Nick: Black Tuxedos MC Page 15
Soon, her sweet sounds are surrounding me as I increase my pace. “Close, Nick,” she cries out, “so close.” Reaching between us, I stroke her clit with my thumb until I feel her pussy start clenching around my dick. As she calls my name, I thrust once, twice and on the third time, am joining her as I fill her.
Shayla
Later, much later that night, we’re lying tangled up with one another. “Nick?”
“Hmm?”
“Will it always be like this?” He rocked my world multiple times in multiple ways and each time was more earth-shattering than the previous one.
“Absofuckinglutely. Now, let’s get some sleep, baby.”
I nod against his chest then say, “Nick, I’m nervous about the trial.”
“No worries, Shay. They’ve pled guilty so it’s more about receiving a sentence.”
Once again, I nod and he rolls into me and kisses me. “Am I gonna have to wear you out some more?”
“Is that an offer or a complaint?” I fire back.
“Never a complaint, baby. Now, since I’ve done all the work all night long, it’s your turn.”

Shayla
Three weeks later
“You did good, Shay,” Nick says to me as we walk out of the courthouse. I had to give a victim’s impact statement and apparently, it was enough that when the judge passed down the sentences, he gave each of them the maximum amount of time. I’d feel bad, but my body bears the scars of that day that they tried to kill us.
Nodding, I think back to what I spent the past few weeks working on.
Your Honor, thank you for allowing me to take this opportunity to share how the actions of both parties has affected me.
To start off, I initially fled my prior home because that man assaulted me, and because I knew if I stayed, he’d hurt or kill me or our daughter. When I arrived here, I lived out of my vehicle because I was afraid of my own shadow. I built a life thanks to my fiancé’s family and until I met his ex-girlfriend, life was good and getting better. I healed from the injuries he gave me, and my daughter began to thrive.
The day of the accident, we had to go look at my home, one that we’ve since found out they vandalized, where everything I owned, as well as the property owners themselves, had been destroyed. I left there with a box of buttons. On our way back, we were hit by the two defendants, and from what I understand, my injuries were critical.
Your Honor, I have physical scars from that accident that will be a constant reminder of that day. I died once and was resuscitated on the operating table. Because of their actions, I will likely have a harder time getting pregnant since one of my ovaries was removed. My face, even with the plastic surgery, still has a visible scar. Because of the internal injuries I suffered and how critical the situation was, my abdomen was cut wide open. I have a hard time riding in vehicles now and before I can sit on the passenger side, I take prescribed anti-anxiety medication. Something I never had to do before that day. My daughter nearly lost her mother and sole caregiver because of the actions of those two people and it’s my desire that they receive the maximum prison time, so they can reflect on their actions. I’m also requesting that he be required to terminate his parental rights as my fiancé plans to adopt my daughter and raise her as his own. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me.
I won’t lie and say I didn’t cry while reading my statement, especially as the pictures of the vehicle, as well as my injuries, were presented to the judge for his perusal.
The judge adjourned us so he could go into his chambers and make his decision, so we went to lunch, although I couldn’t eat a bite. When we got the call from the attorney that court was resuming, I sat there, holding Nick’s hand in mine so hard that my knuckles were white. Until the judge had Piper and Quentin stand and then sentenced each of them to fifteen years.
Now? Well, now we’re going back to the clubhouse to celebrate the other reason we were in the courthouse today. Y’see, I got my way about getting married and we stood before the justice of the peace twenty minutes ago with Brody, Jaycie, Reese, Corrie, and Amelia, and got married.
“You did as well, Nick,” I tell him. Glancing down at my hand where my wedding band has joined my engagement ring, I say, “Thanks for making me an honest woman.”
His laugh catches me off guard as he replies, “You were always an honest woman since you agreed to be my old lady. Today just makes it official in the outside world is all.”
My smile is radiant when I turn and lean into him. “Kiss me like you mean it, husband.” Long moments pass as he kisses me so thoroughly, I want to jump his bones.
“Gladly, wife,” he says, taking my hand and walking me to his bike. I’ve found that I’m more comfortable on the back of his bike than as a passenger in a vehicle and since I don’t like how the medicine makes me groggy, we ride whenever the weather permits. Thankfully, it’s starting to warm up, so unless we’re going somewhere as a family, I should be okay.
“C’mon, you know they’re all waiting for us at the clubhouse.” We took a bit longer so that we could get the adoption paperwork for Amelia started.
He smacks my ass and grins when I give him a look over my shoulder. “Just warming you up,” he teases.
“Whatever. Keep it up and you won’t get to see what I bought to wear tonight.”
“Doesn’t matter what you wear, Shay. It’ll be on the floor as fast as I can get it off you.” Dammit, now my lady parts are tingling, and we have hours to wait before I can have him!
“Keep teasing, biker man,” I reply as he fits my helmet onto my head and checks to make sure the straps are tight. He’s so damn protective it makes me crazy at times, but I’ll never complain because I honestly never thought I’d get so damn lucky to have a man like him in my life.
Nick
The party’s long over and I’ve made love to Shayla so many times tonight that my dick’s raw. Don’t think I could get it up again if I tried. Lying here with her curled into me sound asleep, I think about how different my life is from what I thought it would be all those months ago.
Gone is the man that I grew to hate looking at in the mirror. Gone are the nightmares. Gone is the belief that I failed my unit that last mission. In its place is peace. I hear a snuffle and look to my right and grin. Bosco is passed out on his bed and that little scamp, Gulliver, is curled up under his chin, the dog’s paw over the kitten’s body as if to protect him.
Glancing over at the woman who means more to me than my next breath, I smile. “You are the most precious thing to me,” I whisper, my hand lightly stroking her. I haven’t said anything yet, but she’s pregnant and that thought fills me with so much joy it’s almost scary. I wouldn’t have known but Mom mentioned something, and I took a closer look. Her hips are fuller and so are her breasts. She also has a slight pooch that I look forward to seeing grow and stretch as she carries our child.
Yeah, life is pretty fucking good right now. As I roll into her, I kiss her temple and softly say, “Love you, Shay.”
Epilogue
Matt
I leave the clubhouse, happy for my brother and his new wife, but feeling out of sorts. I’ve had the waitress at The Steakhouse in my sights since the first time I saw her, but so far, it’s been a no-go. I don’t think she’s uninterested, I just think her life is too busy to entertain the thought of allowing a man to get in there.
And holy fuck, I want in there. Watching her all those times we’ve been there, I’ve seen her laugh and interact with customers. She’s not afraid of my brothers and gives as good as she gets when someone jokes with her. My grandpa always said pretty was good, but find a woman who had a sense of humor because eventually, looks fade.
Although I don’t think she’s gonna have that problem. She’s a lot shorter than I am, which is fine by me, and has curves in all the right places. When my dick jumps, I adjust myself before climbing into the cab of my work truck. Since I met her, it’s been my hand, not that I was as big o
f a hound as Nick used to be, and I’m ready for the real thing.
Mandie
“Stupid, motherfucking piece of shit!” I yell as I kick the tire. I’m tired, I have groceries, and two sleeping babies in my car. I pull out my phone only to see that I’m out of minutes. No help there. Sighing, I head to the trunk and pull out the stroller, grateful that I didn’t take it out when we got back from the park the other day. There’s no other solution except to walk.
Once I have the stroller set up, I go over to the passenger side and open the door. “Aria, sweetie, c’mon, we’ve gotta walk.” My three-year-old daughter looks at me with her big green eyes.
“Mommy, I’s tired. I don’t wanna walk.”
“No choice, pumpkin. The tire is flat and I don’t have a spare.” Not like I could change the damn thing even if I had one. “C’mon, I think the two of you can ride together as long as you can hold onto Bubba for me.”
She nods and climbs out of the backseat and into the stroller, clutching her Poppy doll. I go back over to the other side and lift Beau out of his car seat. I maneuver him so he’s sitting on her lap, then buckle both of them in before covering them with his blanket. Grateful that my friend, Hope, got me the deluxe model, I take the few bags of groceries and put them underneath the stroller. It’s not much, but after rent and utilities, I’m strapped until my next shift. It should get us through, though, and I can do without, so the kids eat. I’ve done it before.
Grabbing my purse and keys, I lock the car and then set off to our home, trying to figure out how I’m going to add tires to my already stressed budget.
Matt
I’ve just passed a car on the shoulder with an obvious flat when I see a woman pushing a stroller. Pulling ahead of her, I stop and get out and walk back to her. “Mandie?” I question, shocked to see her walking.
“Hey, Matt,” she replies, avoiding my eyes. I take a closer look and see the tear tracks on her face and realize that she’s been crying.
“That your car back there?” I ask, pointing in the direction she was walking from.
“Yep.”
“Why didn’t you call for help?”
“Out of minutes.” She doesn’t say it in an ugly tone, but she sounds a bit defeated.
“How far away do you live?”
She stops walking and takes a deep breath. “Just a few miles down the road.” Fuck me. She’s walking, at night, down a back road with two kids.
Making a quick decision, I say, “C’mon, I’ll give you a ride, get you there quicker.”
“That’s okay, Matt, you don’t need to do that.”
“I don’t do anything I don’t want to. Get in the truck, Mandie, you and your kids look tired.” And they do. Normally, her hair is bouncing around as she talks but tonight it just looks flat. A closer inspection reveals dark circles under her eyes as well.
“If you’re sure it’s not an imposition.”
“It’s not,” I reply, pulling out my phone. “Yeah, hey, it’s Matt. Got a car out on State Road Twenty that needs to be towed.” Once I get off the phone with the prospect, I notice she’s putting a few small bags in the backseat of the truck. “You got more you need to grab?”
“Nope, this is it.” I nod then wait until she’s inside before I get back in and start it up.
“Okay, where do you live?”
* * *
The trailer she directs me to has seen better days, but as I help her inside, I notice it’s clean. As she struggles to take the jacket off her son, I carry the bags into the kitchen and unload them, shocked at how few things there are inside. Hell, I blow way too much on food as it is, but she’s got two little kids and only has a loaf of bread, some peanut butter and a quart of milk?
“Give me a minute, I need to put him down,” she calls out. I use the time to peek into her cupboards and refrigerator and notice that she has very little food. I don’t know her story, but right now, I wanna know every fucking thing there is to know about Mandie Matchum.
The end…for now
About the Author
I'm a lifelong reader who had a dream to write her own books. A transplanted Yankee, I now live in Georgia (Hotlanta) with my pets. While I have a strong personal belief system and faith, I won't be "preaching" in any of my books. They'll have perfectly imperfect people in it who meet, fall in love, fall into bed (at times; sometimes they might wait), have kids, get married. In short, I want to write books that make people think and feel.
My debut novel, "Bountiful Harvest" was released on the 7th anniversary of my mom's death. Somehow, I think my biggest cheerleader and staunchest defender helped it publish so quickly.
Since hitting publish 8/31/16, I've had the privilege to begin co-writing with Liberty Parker on an MC series, the Rebel Guardians. There are six books out in this series, plus the first book in a spin-off (2.0, the next generation) and the first book in The Nelson Brothers (who show up in book 5 of the RGMC). We're hard at work on yet another spin-off (New Beginnings) featuring some of the girls from the RGMC whose love interests are not with the men from the MC!
I also co-write a series of children's short stories with a fellow author, Cherry Shephard and her 10 year old son. Get immersed in "The Mischief Kitties" and their zany, crazy lives!
